Miebach supports WMS go-live for leading solar panel manufacturer in India

Miebach has successfully supported the go-live of its Warehouse Management System (WMS) at a leading solar panel manufacturer in India. The project marks an important step in the company’s digitization and automation journey and creates a stronger foundation for reliable, accurate, and scalable warehouse operations.

The solution covers warehouse activities across raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods, from dock-in to dock-out. By digitizing these processes in one integrated environment, the project helps improve process consistency, strengthen traceability, and support faster execution across the warehouse.

Greater visibility from manufacturing to dispatch

A key feature of the implementation is the use of license plate numbers (LPNs) at box level, combined with serial-number aggregation. This creates more precise inventory visibility and supports better traceability throughout warehouse operations. The system is also integrated with production data, enabling visibility from manufacturing through to product installation.

The WMS is designed for integration with SAP S/4HANA, supporting the client’s broader digital roadmap. Operationally, the solution supports both piece-in and pallet-in processes, as well as piece-out and pallet-out processes. Route-based, system-directed loading also enables faster and more structured dispatch execution.
