Diversity and Inclusion

01.03.2025 | By Johanna Rossi, Miebach

Last November, the Argentinian Miebach Office had the honor of being part of an enriching Conversation on Inclusion and an Active Break organized by En Buenas Manos at our office. It was a space where experiences, reflections, and learnings were shared on a key topic that we are beginning to integrate into our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plan.

“En Buenas Manos” is a social organization providing services to companies carried out by people with disabilities since 2011. They develop self-sustaining projects that aim not only to promote the breaking of social barriers towards hiring people with disabilities but also to generate greater autonomy and improve the quality of life of their collaborators.

Every week, En Buenas Manos brings us fruits and snacks (bars and nuts) to the office; it is another service they provide.

One of the fundamental aspects of inclusion is that it allows the creation of a fairer and more equitable environment. It also enables the continued building of more diverse and respectful work environments. Each person brings a unique perspective that enriches the team. Diverse teams tend to be more productive, innovative, and capable of addressing challenges more effectively. Work is a right and dignifies people; we should all be able to do it! The most common barriers to the labor integration of people with disabilities are people’s prejudices and misinformation.

When people feel accepted and valued for their identity, they experience higher self-esteem, a sense of belonging, and less anxiety. Inclusion is not only an ethical and moral issue but also has a tangible impact on improving society as a whole: it promotes the development of a more empathetic community. I myself hope that someday, we will not have to talk about inclusion in any area of life.

It is an honor to create and promote new opportunities to build a more inclusive and responsible future in our communities and companies, for everyone. Promoting inclusion is key, and these types of events are a reminder that building a better future depends on us.

For a more inclusive society!
