At the beginning of the year, I’ve had the privilege of stepping into a new role at Miebach: Deputy Head of our Business Unit Process Industry, where I’m responsible for all HR-related topics from recruiting and project staffing to talent development.
This position offers more than just a new perspective. It allows me to focus on what truly drives me: bringing people together, nurturing potential, and helping shape the future of our organization.
Looking back on my first 100 days, I can say with confidence that this was definitely the right next step for me – professionally, personally, and with a long-term outlook. Even after more than 20 years at Miebach, this role feels like a fresh start.
My foundation is in project work. For many years, I was involved in IT, with a strong focus on warehouse management systems and material flow solutions. I led projects, supported complex implementations, and continuously expanded my technical expertise. That hands-on experience still plays a key role in my work today.
But sometimes, new paths emerge in unexpected places. For me, it began with Women@miebach. What started as a space for internal exchange for women in the company, quickly became a platform for core topics like people development, equal opportunity, and company culture. I realized how energizing it is to explore these questions and how strongly I feel about creating real change.
In my current role, I support the Process Industry BU by focusing on people – recruitment, staffing, and team development. I’m involved in strategic discussions, lead development talks, and help shape the right path for each individual. It’s not about quick fixes, but long-term solutions that align with both our people and our business.
What’s changed most is my perspective. I now have a broader view of our work, contribute to strategic decisions, and collaborate with colleagues across different departments. It’s a new kind of responsibility – not only for projects, but for people and structures. And that’s exactly what makes it so meaningful.
At the same time, I haven’t stepped away from my technical roots. I continue to support IT projects, bring my expertise to leadership discussions, and represent my field at the management level. This combination of technical depth and strategic breadth is what motivates me and gives me space to keep learning.
Of course, there are challenges. The talent market is competitive, project staffing requires intuition, and meaningful change takes time. But what I experience at Miebach is a shared commitment to growth – a strong sense of teamwork that makes progress possible. That gives me confidence in the path ahead.
After 100 days, I feel grounded. Not in the sense of being finished, but ready for what’s next. I look forward to the opportunities ahead, to new conversations, and to the small and big changes we’ll shape together. And I hope we continue to create space for others at Miebach to rediscover their potential – wherever they are in their journey.
