The Path to Joining Miebach: A Guide for Prospective Candidates

07.08.2024

My Journey

If you're considering a career with Miebach, let me share my journey with you. My name is Valerie, and at 23 years old, I found my place within Miebach in their vibrant and dynamic office location in Berlin about 6 months ago.

Before joining the bustling atmosphere of our freshly renovated office in the German capital, I went through Miebach's comprehensive recruitment process. Allow me to shed light on what you can expect as you navigate your own path toward joining our team full-time.

The First Steps and Interviews

Your first step? Your online application. Once you've piqued our interest with your submission, the next phase starts off with a conversation led by our lovely HR manager, Sarah. During this initial call, Sarah provides an overview of who Miebach is and what it stands for, offering insights into our values, our work, and the collaborative spirit that defines us. It's a chance for both parties to gauge compatibility and explore potential synergies.

Should this initial exchange leave both parties intrigued, candidates progress to a second interview. Here, you'll engage with the Head of your new Business Unit as well as your future team Lead. They will try to learn more about your academic background and professional experiences, as well as your motivation and expectations towards working in our branch/for our company. There are four possible units in total – Industrial Products & Automotive, Fashion & Retail, Process Industry, and Business Excellence.

The Final Interviews

If it turns out to be a match for both sides, the journey progresses to the final interview round – a chance for the candidates to showcase their skills through practical exercises. This includes working on a case study with 1 hr preparation time, followed by a 10 min presentation, that is somehow related to Miebach and/or logistics, to a select group of Miebach consultants. Your insights on a relevant topic – be it a university project or a passion project – offer further glimpses into your abilities and alignment with Miebach.

Following the interviews, a short logic test awaits. We usually do not need much time to make a decision. After every stage we will get in touch with you soon to let you know how we have decided and what the next steps will be.

The Onboarding

After successfully completing all three interview stages, we will get you all set up to start working with us and to get settled within the Miebach family. The onboarding usually takes place in one of our offices where you will get to know your local teammates, as well as many other colleagues from the respective office who will show you around and welcome you.

You will receive your IT equipment for onsite and mobile work, and we guide you through the process of getting everything up and running.

The Mentoring System

Central to our onboarding experience is our mentoring system. Here, you have the autonomy to select a mentor who aligns with your aspirations, offering invaluable insights and assistance along the way, whether that be concerns or questions regarding life at Miebach in general, how to approach the challenges of your first projects etc.

We are a community where talent thrives, growth is encouraged, and success is shared. So, if you're intrigued by what you've learned, we eagerly await the opportunity to welcome you into the Miebach family.
